Exalt the Lord. Embrace the World.

 About us.

Founded in 1903, Grundy Baptist Church is located in Grundy, Virginia, the county seat of Buchanan County.  Sharing a parking lot with the Appalachian School of Law in the mountains of the southwest part of the state, our church continues to minister to the folks in our community, whether they are life-long residents or are new to the area.  With the town of Grundy undergoing many changes through the Grundy Flood Control Project, our church too will be experiencing many changes in the years ahead.  With the re-roofing of our sanctuary to the purchase of a new 26-passenger bus to the future building of a "Family Outreach Center" (with gym/fellowship hall, kitchen, offices, exercise facilities), Grundy Baptist Church will continue its rich heritage of missions and outreach to our community.  We invite you to join us on mission in the heart of Grundy as we reach this generation with the Good News of Jesus Christ!

As an autonomous, local New Testament congregation, Grundy Baptist Church seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, discipling believers to grow in their personal relationship with Christ, ministering to the needs of our congregation and community, fellowshiping with one another, worshiping the Lord together, and giving to missions throughout North America and the world.

We believe the Bible to be the uniquely inspired and infallible Word of God and accept the Bible as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We recognize the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message as an accurate statement of our beliefs. Our church has a long and proud affiliation and partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the New Lebanon Baptist Association.
